The wedding plans for the winning couple from the wildly popular television program “Take Me Out Indonesia” might be put on hold after nude pictures of a woman who looks like Ayu Oktasari leaked on the Internet.
Ayu, 27, and Egy, 33, met on the reality dating show in June 2009. In December, they were crowned as the best couple of season one and won Rp 100 million ($10,735) in prize money. Ayu and Egy said that they planned to take their six-month relationship to a new level by getting engaged on January 10. Their wedding was planned for mid -2010.
Ayu has denied that the naked photographs were of her, but said on Wednesday that their engagement was now likely to be delayed.
“The engagement will probably be delayed but it’s because Egy’s mother is hospitalized,” Ayu told Kompas.com.
“They are not my pictures. I’m sure the pictures are the work of mean people who are jealous of me. That’s why they manipulated my pictures,” she said.
Ayu, who has worked as a model since she was 19, said that even though she could not remember all the photographs she had appeared in during her career, she had never been in a nude photo shoot.
She said her most daring photo shoot ever was for men’s magazine FHM and a calendar, where she posed in a bikini.
According to Ayu, she had tried to clarify the rumor by appearing on entertainment news television programs and by having a live interview on KIS FM radio.
