New Maroon 5 Album to Be 'Overexposed!

There's no denying Maroon 5's ubiquity, something the pop-rock group seems to recognize with the announcement of their cheekily titled fourth studio record, "Overexposed," set to drop June 26.

In a press release, frontman Adam Levine said "Overexposed" is "one of our most diverse and poppiest albums yet" -- which makes sense when you have pop mastermind Max Martin serving as executive producer, with hitmakers Benny Blanco ( Britney Spears, Pitbull) and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder lending their talents to other cuts.

Recorded in Los Angeles, the release notes that the group started writing the 10-track album during their last world tour. And as guitarist Jamie Valentine points out, the group worked with several outside songwriters on "Overexposed," something they hadn't done before last year's uber-smash with Christina Aguilera, "Moves Like Jagger."

"At this point in our career I think it was a good thing to completely mix up our process and it yielded good results, as well as a more collaborative spirit within the band," Valentine said in the release. And it looks like that collaborative spirit helped the band land a guest spot from Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa, who appears on the track "Payphone.
